Stakeholder meeting to discuss the movement of clients between Medicaid and the health insurance marketplace

The Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing (HCPF) will be hosting their second stakeholder meeting to discuss the movement of clients between Medicaid and the health insurance marketplace as we prepare to expand insurance coverage in 2014 as part of the Affordable Care Act.  This meeting will focus on providers, recognizing that clients may experience disruptions in care if they have to switch providers as they move between public and private insurance.

HCPF Stakeholder meeting to discuss the "churn" of individuals between Medicaid and the exchange

"Earlier this year, Governor Hickenlooper announced that Colorado will expand Medicaid for adults up to 133% of the federal poverty level as part of the Affordable Care Act.  Colorado will also be running its own state health insurance exchange, where eligible individuals and families will be able to shop for subsidized health insurance coverage.  In preparation for this expansion, the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing has been working with stakeholders, the Center for Health Care Strategies, SHADAC, and other states to understand the needs and characteristics of this newly eligible population.

Medical Home Community Forum: RCCO Myth Busting: Checking in with the Seven Regional Care Collaborative Organizations (RCCO)

State Chronic Disease Plan 2012 Update

"The State Advisory Team was convened to coordinate with the Prevention Services Division of the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment to develop a chronic disease state plan.  This consistent group of stakeholders has helped us gain a deeper understanding of community input from around the state. COHBE Summer Outreach Road Trip Schedule

Staff from the Colorado Health Benefit Exchange will be traveling across Colorado this summer to expand their outreach efforts, meet with stakeholder groups, obtain input about their planning work and learn about effective health care initiatives.
