“People House is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit offering options for personal and spiritual growth in the Denver community. Through our nonprofit programs we strive to make equitable mental and emotional health care accessible to anyone who needs it.
We offer affordable counseling on an income based sliding scale, providing an opportunity for care to those who might otherwise be unable to experience the transformative power and support of professional counseling. The counseling interns who staff our programs are master’s degree level students or graduates acquiring experience for professional licensure with the State of Colorado. They are carefully selected based on life experience and personal development to ensure the highest quality care for our clients.
Our Veteran Reintegration Program promotes wellness in our returning veterans and their families. Through veteran mentoring, veterans have one-on-one conversations with a facilitator trained veteran. The aim of these mentoring relationships is to help the veteran find their own answers to their own questions without judgment. Facilitators work side by side with each vet to help them formulate a plan that best fits their unique needs.
