New Cholesterol Screening Guidelines Announced

“The American Heart Association and the American College of Cardiology announced a new practice Guideline on the Treatment of Blood Cholesterol to Reduce Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Risk in Adults as well as a risk assessment tool for providers to use. Three other guidelines were also released: two on screening for and management cardiovascular risk and one on the evaluation and treatment obesity.
