Colorado Health Access Fund - Proposals due May 15

“The Denver Foundation released the first Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Colorado Health Access Fund. This statewide Fund supports programs and activities that increase access to behavioral health care and strives to improve behavioral health outcomes for people in Colorado with high health care needs. Over the next eight years (2015 – 2022), the Fund is committed to allocating resources among rural, urban, and suburban areas.

Organizations interested in applying for funding can identify the behavioral health need that they want to address in their community. Funding is available for projects, programs, capital improvements, collaboratives, and general operating support. The first round of applications is due May 15th; grants will be awarded in late July 2015. More details can be found at www.denverfoundation.org.

2015 Medicaid Fee Schedule

“The 2015 Medicaid fee schedule is now posted on the Department’s Web site at:  https://www.colorado.gov/hcpf/provider-rates-fee-schedule. The updated fee schedule includes the enhanced primary care (E&M) and vaccination rates that took effect on January 1, 2015.” [Source: HCPF]

Colorado Cancer Plan Questionnaire

“The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) invites you to complete a short questionnaire about your interest and perspective on the implementation of the 2016-2020 Colorado Cancer Plan.**

**Like all US states, Colorado has a statewide cancer plan developed by cancer community members and supported by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). These plans set forth measurable 5-year objectives with the potential to positively impact a state's cancer burden. Colorado's comprehensive 2016 - 2020 plan goals and objectives — currently under development — are intended to be a framework for collaborative efforts across the state that can empower individuals and organizations in Colorado’s fight against cancer.

The questionnaire will take about 10 minutes to complete and the anonymous, aggregated results will be used to help CDPHE make decisions about how to move forward with implementing the plan. Denver Human Services Offers Navigator Training

Denver Human Services (DHS) is offering a navigator training for community partners. The navigator training includes an overview of the programs DHS offers, including food assistance, basic eligibility for Medicaid and cash programs, energy assistance, child support, childcare assistance program, PEAK, and a brief overview of the ACA.
