RFP open for The Denver Foundation’s Colorado Health Access Fund

“The Denver Foundation released a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Colorado Health Access Fund. This statewide Fund supports programs and activities that increase access to behavioral health treatment and strives to improve behavioral health outcomes for people in Colorado with identified high health care needs. Between 2015 and 2022, the Fund is committed to allocating resources among rural, urban, and suburban areas.

Organizations interested in applying for funding can identify the behavioral health need that they want to address in their community. Funding is available for projects, programs, capital improvements, collaboratives, and general operating support. Applications are due on March 11th; grants will be awarded in late July 2016. Multi-year funding is available, and grant awards range from $25,000 to $250,000 per year. The Denver Foundation commissioned the Colorado Health Institute (CHI) in 2014 to conduct an asset and gap analysis to glean a solid understanding of Colorado’s current diverse health care landscape to guide the development of this Request for Proposals. CHI’s report, which can be found on the Fund’s webpage, informed the Fund’s Advisory Committee and the decision to focus on behavioral health.
