With your support and input, we launched Colorado’s health insurance marketplace and helped more than 118,000 Coloradans get commercial health insurance, as well as supporting many of the 158,000 Coloradans who have been enrolled in Medicaid. As you know, many of the more than 277,000 Coloradans who have enrolled in coverage previously did not have coverage and can now take better care of their health and their finances. Each of you have contributed to improving access to coverage and affordability programs for the benefit of our state.
And it wasn't easy. The Federal government changed rules. Market conditions shifted to reduce our potential customer base. We adjusted procedures and continuously upgraded our technology as necessary to open and serve our customers. We’re working on numerous initiatives to enhance the enrollment process through technology and customer service operations. And your input remains important as we move ahead and work to reach more Coloradans who need health insurance.
