Nonprofits: Submit Your Proposals for Impact Denver Class Projects by Dec. 18

“Would your organization like the volunteer help of a group of energetic young professionals to add expertise and energy to your programs or projects? The Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation and the Impact Denver Class of 2016 are inviting proposals from community organizations for ideas on specific, short-term projects that could help your organization enhance its current work. Impact Denver is designed for Denver metro area professionals who are interested in developing their leadership skills, learning about the region and beginning or expanding their civic involvement.

Projects must be appropriate for implementation within the timeframe of January through June 2016. Please review project guidelines. If you wish to submit a proposal, please return the “Community Partner Project Proposal” form and all attachments electronically by Friday, Dec. 18, in order to be considered by the project teams. "Colorado Family Leadership Training Institute is taking applications for the Class of 2016! The FLTI curriculum is a proven curriculum (free of charge) that inspires trains and empowers individuals to become effective leaders and change agents on behalf of children, youth, and families. The Colorado Health Foundation: Healthy Schools Funding Opportunities Webinar

“The Colorado Health Foundation invites you to join the Creating Healthy Schools webinar, which will provide an overview of new funding opportunities that include:

• Creating Healthy Schools: Local planning and assessment aims to support local planning, capacity-building and community collaboration efforts.         
• Creating Healthy Schools: Local implementation intends to assist strategy execution in specifics areas related to building or increasing healthy schools work. 
• Creating Healthy Schools: Statewide systems building supports systems-level and infrastructure work.

In addition, Foundation staff will discuss how to apply for funding and who to contact with questions. A Q&A session will follow the presentation. The webinar will be recorded and available online.

Colorado PEAK Updates

"November Updates:

• Medical Assistance Disability Application: The State's disability determination application for Medical Assistance programs was incorporated into PEAK in June 2015; however, it was removed from PEAK on November 22 for review and reformatting. Applicants who require a disability determination will be prompted to print the disability application, which was the process prior to June.
• Error message on Job Income page in PEAK: Some applicants reported receiving an error message on the Job Income page in PEAK that indicated, "Your session has ended because of an error." This issue was resolved by Friday morning of last week. Those who experienced this issue should now be able to complete their application.

Colorado Medicaid and CHP+ Provider Revalidation & Enrollment - available tools

"Colorado Medicaid and CHP+ Provider Revalidation & Enrollment Began September 15, 2015! New federal regulations established by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) require enhanced screening and revalidation for all Medicare, Medicaid, and CHP+ providers. All Colorado providers who want to continue, or begin, providing services to Medicaid and CHP+ members after March 31, 2016, are required to be validated and enrolled under new federal enrollment screening criteria. To meet these new requirements, as well as to ensure enrollment in the new claims processing system, Colorado providers must revalidate using the new Online Provider Enrollment (OPE) tool. Colorado Medicaid asks that providers complete your revalidation during your assigned revalidation and enrollment wave. The enrollment application is the same whether you are newly enrolling or revalidating.
