Funding Opportunity for Dental Program Innovation

The Dental Trade Alliance Foundation is now accepting applications for 2016 grant programs! If your organization has an innovative project designed to improve oral health care for the growing number of needy Americans and would like to be considered for a grant, please review the guidelines. Each applicant must demonstrate that their innovative project will not only improve access to oral care in their immediate area, but also have the potential to grow and be implemented in other areas of the country. • May have applied for A35 funding in the past and did not receive funding
• Want to strengthen their grant writing skills.

The Colorado Health Foundation hosts an Application Information Webinar for February 15th application deadline

The Colorado Health Foundation is hosting an application information webinar on Friday, January 10, 2014 at 11:00am for prospective grant applicants.  The webinar gives representatives from nonprofits that work in health care, health coverage and healthy living a chance to learn about the Foundation’s grantmaking program.  Register now.

During the webinar, Foundation staff will provide a concise overview of the application process, including:

• How to prepare applications
• Important proposal requirements
• A step-by-step walk-through of the online application process

Staff also will review the Foundation's funding priorities and take questions about any part of the process.

Cigna Foundation Invites Applications for Health Promotion Projects

"The Cigna Foundation, the charitable arm of the Cigna Corporation and its subsidiaries, supports organizations that share its commitment to enhancing the health of individuals and families, and the well-being of their communities, with a special focus on those communities where Cigna employees live and work.

The foundation focuses its funding in four areas:  promoting wellness by building awareness, helping people manage their health challenges, and making health services available and affordable for all; expanding opportunities by reaching across barriers to tap the talents of every person; developing leaders by supporting the type of community service that gives talented individuals the experience to become future leaders; and embracing communities by connecting neighbors to create networks to address complex social and environmental challenges.

There is no maximum or minimum grant.  However, a typical first-time grant is $5,000.  All organizations requesting funding must be recognized as a tax-exempt nonprofit organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
