“Hispanic Coloradans are disproportionately uninsured. Research has shown that telenovelas (Spanish-language soap operas) are a unique and effective way to improve knowledge and influence health behavior for this population.
The Colorado Health Foundation has partnered with Evolutions to produce a second set of the telenovela, Encrucijada (Crossroads), featuring content-rich stories that portray real health issues experienced by diverse people. The shows will air on Rocky Mountain PBS (English) and Univision (Spanish). Get times and more information about the show here.
