Board Opening for Hospital Provider Fee Oversight and Advisory Board

"The Department of Health Care Policy and Financing is seeking an individual that is a current health care consumer who would be willing to volunteer their time to fill a position on the Hospital Provider Fee Oversight and Advisory Board (OAB).  Familiarity with Medicaid programs is helpful, but not required.

The Hospital Provider Fee authorizes the Department to collect a hospital provider fee to increase Medicaid and Colorado Indigent Care Program (CICP) payments to hospitals. The OAB's responsibility is to work with the Department and the Medical Services Board to develop the hospital provider fee model, monitor the implementation of the bill, help with preparation of annual reports on this program, and ensure that the Medicaid and Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+) eligibility expansions are implemented as intended.

The OAB meets the fourth Tuesday of most months.  While Board participation is on a volunteer basis, expenses for travel and other board related items may be reimbursed.  If you would like to apply for the OAB health care consumer seat, please visit the Governor's Office of Boards and Commissions web page and download the application.

If you have any questions, please contact Nancy Dolson at (303) 866-3698."  [Source:  HCPF]
