DUE DATE EXTENDED: Program Year 2015 Attestation to September 20th

Due to some unforeseen issues, the state has granted an extension for EHs and CAHs to attest for Program Year 2015. The Colorado Registration & Attestation site will now be open until 9:59 pm on September 20th. There will absolutely not be another extension granted.

Meaningful Use 2016: LAST YEAR to Receive Maximum Payments

With the completion of attestations for EPs (eligible professionals) for program year 2015, it’s time to shift your focus to program year 2016!

Program Year 2016 Reminders

• For all returning participants, the incentive program reporting period will be a full calendar year between January 1-December 31 of the 2016 calendar year. 
• EPs, eligible hospitals (EH) and critical access hospitals (CAHs) that have not successfully demonstrated Meaningful Use in a prior year will have a continuous 90-day reporting period between January 1- December 31 of the 2016 calendar year. 
• Program year 2016 is the last year to begin participation in the Medicaid EHR Incentive Program and still receive up to the maximum payments under the program. For more detailed information refer to the CMS 2016 program year requirements page. 
• An EP can attest to Meaningful Use OR Adopt, Implement, Upgrade (AIU) in program year 2016.  click here for more reminders

ONE WEEK LEFT to Attest for Meaningful Use 2015!

"The Colorado Registration & Attestation site for Program Year 2015 Eligible Professionals will close on June 30th, so you have one week to get your attestation completed. We recommend not waiting until the final day, as you might need log-in assistance, which can take days to resolve. Or the site could be slow due to increased activity.

Important Update: Please be aware that the Certified Health IT Product List (CHPL) site will be offline from June 28th to July 1st. So if you need to generate your EHR Certification ID and screenshot, please do so before Tuesday.

Don't Miss Out On Provider Incentive Payments!!!

Thursday, June 30th is the last day to attest to AIU or Meaningful Use for program year 2015 for eligible professionals. CORHIO strongly recommends that you plan to complete your attestations as soon as possible so you have time to address any unforeseen issues. At this time, there are no plans to extend the closing date beyond June 30th.  For more information, click here

Colorado Medicaid EHR Incentive Program

The Colorado Registration & Attestation site (R&A) for eligible professionals (EP)s for program year 2015 opened on April 29, 2016. The R&A will have a 60-day attestation window for EPs and will close on June 30th so please plan accordingly.  For May 2016 program update, click here.

Meaningful Use Attestation Site Set to Open Tomorrow

"The Colorado Registration & Attestation site for Program Year 2015 Eligible Professionals is set to open tomorrow, April 29th. The site will close on June 30th, so we recommend you access it immediately and start reviewing the requirements.
For those of you who have used the site in the past, please be advised some areas have changed:

• There are no longer Core and Menu measures; there are now 10 objectives.
• There are exclusions and alternate exclusions for program year 2015 depending on what stage a provider is in.
• There is now one consolidated public health objective with three measure options.

Attestation Site Open Date Delayed

The Colorado Registration & Attestation site for Program Year 2015 Eligible Professionals opening has been delayed due to an issue found during testing. Therefore, the site will not be available for you to attest this Wednesday April 20th as we previously announced. Please be advised you will have 60 calendar days to complete your attestation once the site is open.

Colorado Attestation Site Due to Open Next Week

The Colorado Registration & Attestation site for Program Year 2015 is scheduled to open for Eligible Professionals (EPs) next Wednesday April 20th. Please be advised you will have 60 calendar days to complete your attestation, so we recommend you do not delay in going to the site, familiarizing yourself with changes, and preparing your attestation.

2015 Program Year Meaningful Use Hardship Application Released

“The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services recently released hardship applications which eligible professionals (EP) and eligible hospitals (EH) can use to avoid a penalty under Meaningful Use for the 2015 Program Year. The streamlined hardship applications reduce the amount of information that eligible professionals (EPs), eligible hospitals, and CAHs must submit to apply for an exception. The new applications and instructions for a hardship exception from the Medicare Electronic Health Records Incentive Program 2017 payment adjustment are available here. EPs, eligible hospitals, and CAHs that wish to use the streamlined application must submit their application according to the timeline established in PAMPA: Eligible Professionals: March 15, 2016.” [Source: CMS]
