Thank you for a great Safety Net Clinic Week!
Thank you for a wonderful Safety Net Clinic Week! This year we had 17 affiliate clinics host an event or a site visit for a policymaker or candidate for office. Two members of Congress, Congressman Jared Polis and Congresswoman Diana DeGette, visited Fort Collins Family Medicine and Inner City Health Center, respectively. Jerry Pifer from Congressman Ed Perlmutter's office visited Kids First Health Care as well. We had five clinics host an open house, 12 site visits from members/candidates of the Colorado State Legislature, and a visit from Aurora Mayor Steve Hogan to the DAWN Clinic. Additionally, we celebrated the Kaiser Permanente Educational Loan Repayment for Safety Net Clinical Support Staff award recipients from Seton Women's Clinic, Caritas Clinic, and Value Care Health Clinic. On top of that, Spanish Peaks Outreach Clinic in Walsenburg and Southern Colorado Family Medicine in Pueblo received media coverage of site visits. The complete list of clinics who participated in #SNCW16 are: Kids First Health Care, St. Benedict Health and Healing Ministry, Rocky Mountain Youth Clinics, Children's Hospital Child Health Clinic, Jewish Family Services, DAWN Clinic, Fort Collins Family Medicine, Inner City Health Center, Caritas Clinic, Seton Women's Clinic, Value Care Health Clinic, Samaritan Clinic, Spanish Peaks Outreach Clinic, Southern Colorado Family Medicine, and SET Family Medical Clinics.
The important conversations that took place during Safety Net Clinic Week will forever be remembered, and the impact that our affiliate clinics make, forever appreciated. ClinicNET continues to be a resource for you! P.S. All of our affiliate clinics should use this link to fill out our Safety Net Clinic Week Participation survey.
Happy Safety Net Clinic Week!
