Meaningful Use 2016: LAST YEAR to Receive Maximum Payments

With the completion of attestations for EPs (eligible professionals) for program year 2015, it’s time to shift your focus to program year 2016!

Program Year 2016 Reminders
  • For all returning participants, the incentive program reporting period will be a full calendar year between January 1-December 31 of the 2016 calendar year. 
  • EPs, eligible hospitals (EH) and critical access hospitals (CAHs) that have not successfully demonstrated Meaningful Use in a prior year will have a continuous 90-day reporting period between January 1- December 31 of the 2016 calendar year. 
  • Program year 2016 is the last year to begin participation in the Medicaid EHR Incentive Program and still receive up to the maximum payments under the program. For more detailed information refer to the CMS 2016 program year requirements page
  • An EP can attest to Meaningful Use OR Adopt, Implement, Upgrade (AIU) in program year 2016.  click here for more reminders
