MACRA and How Physician Compensation will Be Impacted

CMGMA and CHA are jointly hosting a dinner for physicians to hear Dave Wofford, a nationally recognized MACRA expert – the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015 – and the impact it will have on health care including things like physician compensation and value-based incentive programs.

Beginning in 2019, as a result of MACRA, CMS will be making significant changes in the way Medicare reimburses for physician services under Medicare Part B. Though these changes seem like a long way off, they will actually be based on providers’ performance in earlier years … most likely starting in federal fiscal year 2017 (January 2017). Physicians will have a chance to ask questions of the speaker in a small group setting.
