Denver Health's Integrated Behavioral Health Academy

Denver Health has successfully integrated behavioral health into our primary care clinics and several specialty clinics using a nationally recognized and financially sustainable model.  The IBH Academy supports individual clinicians and medical practices in the development of skills, models and strategies through multiple educational resources including: Classroom Training, Practice Coaching & Consultation, Learning Consortia & Online Resource Sharing, Professional Presentations

Upcoming Classroom Training Opportunity
Denver Health is hosting an Integrated Behavioral Health Foundations training June 15-16 at the Lowry Family Health Center in Denver for providers and support staff new to integrated care.
-Integrated Behavioral Health Foundations for Care Team
Wednesday, June 15, 1:30-5:30 p.m.
For Medical Providers and Clinical Support Staff
This session will be four hours in length and should be attended by primary care providers, behavioral health clinicians, and clinical support staff. Topics will include a brief review of IBH outcomes, team-based communication and treatment planning, and motivational interviewing.

-Integrated Behavioral Health Foundations for the Behavioral Health Provider
Weds, June 15, 1:30-5:30 pm & Thurs, June 16, 8:00 am-5:00 pm
The first four hours of this workshop are with care team members on June 15. Behavioral health clinicians return on June 16. Topics covered include professional acculturation, principles of population based care, rapid diagnosis, brief session duration and treatment episodes, medical case presentation structure, management of high- risk patients, psychopharmacology and ethical issues.
